Midjourney.. The new Artificial Intelligence Art creating tool.
Now Anybody can be H.R Giger, Salvador Dali and Zdzislaw Beksinski by typing in prompts on a keyboard.
Almost makes one want to throw in the pencil, but I think when things become too oversaturated by a.i images, then maybe the human craft will be more appreciated. Like how people appreciate traditional art in the digital era, this is the big 'we don't need you anymore' for the digital artist or from thier employers anyway. It does look very impressive though and maybe people really do just value the finished product by any means. Either way, like the photobash before it, I don't see it as a way to build skill as a human art maker, the idea is already done and most of the work, its the machines expression derived from millions of man made images. So the singular artists expression behind the work is completely gone and therefore the human aspect. So for me, If anything, it would be useful to generate ideas of your own like a mood board or using reference but to pass it along as something you made is dishonest. But I don't think that will stop people from doing so.
Anyway, express yourself and keep human ideas going. The A.I needs your ideas to add to the collective ; )
